Open Door Cafe in Atdens

Delicious pizza but pricey.

Still a great place in town for food and drinks. But obviously the city council and mayor has a beef with one of the best restaurant/ bar owners in town. (Athens corruption? ) (a need for payoffs?) It's been like the police would be inside, parked outside just to harass everyone coming and going. I ordered food to go once, picked it up, left and the cops stopped me wanting to know what I had. I live in Athens and pay for this kinda BS?

Fantastic food! Well worth the money!

It was good. It got busy after we got there our waitress was the only. He missed up on a few things but fix them. Good food with good friends. It was a nice girl night out.

Horrible horrible horrible experience!!! We called in for an order of egg rolls and bit into one and it was so rancid!!! The cabbage was brown and the outside smelled of dirty dish rag!!! We called to inquire about getting a new batch made and was told it was OUR fault for waiting an hour. I called at 5:40pm, was told they would be ready at 6 and my husband went and got them after work at 6:20.She stated she "would never come for us again" and we never raised our voices! Terrible service, terrible food!!

Very expensive for a small town bar and grill... Service was very slow. It took 15 minutes to be served with only 10 guests.

Always good food. The pizza is fantastic, probably the best mest lovers pizza I have ever had.

I love it's a great place to have a drink and have conversation with friends and listen to good music, great place to meet people if your looking to chill

Very sensible atmosphere..Extremely attentive staff..Mixed drinks were top notch..And then THE FOOD..SURF n TURF.. Steak n lobster..I can fire a steak over wood that will make you fall in love with beef all over again.But their chef,,I believe its the owner..YES.. THEIR CHEF IS HIGHLY SKILLED AND AND SERVED ME ONE OF THE VERY FEW STEAKS IV EVER HAD THAT WAS AS GOOD,, AND PROBABLY BETTER THAN IF I COOKED IT MYSELF..And the baked tater and sides we outstanding.. and so was the Lobster..If your in or near ATHENS and you want to treat yourself as and your tastebuds...Then the OPEN DOOR is a grand slam outta the park Cafe lounge restaurant.

Pleasant enough atmosphere but felt like they didn't want to be open and menu was very sparse even compared to other local places.

If they're open when you're in Athens TN, definitely swing by. Very cool, open building. Full bar with great beer selection. Full diverse menu. If they have the egg rolls when you're there, get them (and maybe a couple to go) and ask if they have the spicy beef and cabbage soup.

Best Old fashion I've ever had. Food is excellent. Good atmosphere.
